How to Request Tissue
The MSRA Brain Bank will make high-quality, well-preserved tissue available for studies that will increase our understanding of MS.
The collection of tissue commenced in 2008. Scientists wishing to request tissue are advised to contact the Director of the MSRA Brain Bank, Prof Simon Hawke (shawke@med.usyd.edu.au) to discuss their requirements. In some instances, variation of standard collection protocols to suit individual researchers can be made. The MS Tissue Request Form should then be filled out and returned to Prof Hawke, who will refer the request to the MSRA Brain Bank Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) for approval.
Requests for CONTROL tissue should be made to the various State Tissue Resources Centres within the Australian Brain Bank Network.
