Transcript of Interview - Why I signed up to the MSRA Brain Bank
Initially when I was deciding about making a donation to the Brain Bank, I was quite blasé about it, and it was only when I started reading all of the consent forms that I really felt quite confronted.
It really made me realise that this wasn’t necessarily such an easy thing to do. But having gone through filling in the forms, I really got to the point where I saw the critical importance of having brains available for every other person in Australia who is diagnosed with MS, so that we do have a fighting chance to understand more about this disease.
And at that point, I realised that it would be such a gift to others, giving my brain in the name of research, to assist other people who live with this disease.
